Village Administrator
Dear Residents,
I hope this message finds you well as we move into the 2025 Spring Season. There are many exciting updates and initiatives underway in our village, and I’d like to take a moment to share some key highlights with you.
Community Improvements: We are committed to enhancing our infrastructure and public spaces. We have been approved for a $200,000.00 Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Beautification Grant that will allow us to repair roads from 151st to 152nd Street on Halsted, First Avenue and Second Avenue. These improvements are designed to make our village a safer, more enjoyable place to live.
Public Safety and Services: Our police, fire and public works departments continue to work hard to keep our community safe and well-maintained. We have been awarded an equipment purchase grant for $143,000.00 for our Police Department and our Fire Department has worked diligently on their recent submission of a State grant to remodel and modernize the fire station.
Get Involved: We encourage residents to stay engaged by attending village board meetings, joining community groups, or simply sharing feedback with us. Your input is invaluable in shaping the future of our community.
